Liana is a trusted practitioner with a New Zealand Master’s degree in Osteopathy and over 20 years of clinical experience. After a deeply rewarding tenure founding and running the successful Wanaka Osteopathic Clinic from 2005 to 2024, she made the move back to the coast. Having contracted locally since early 2025, she has already built a strong bond with the Raglan community. Now, she is thrilled to be stepping out on her own again with Breakthrough Osteopathy, providing specialized care for local families, athletes, and their animals. 

Liana’s approach is evidence-informed, trauma-aware, and focused on achieving fast, lasting results. As a pioneer in osteopathic technique development, she moves beyond traditional care and conducts innovative research both in-practice and alongside Osteopaths New Zealand. 

Raised between the coastlines of Northland and the hills of Waikato, Liana has a deep-rooted connection to nature. This lifelong bond with the land and sea informs her practical, down-to-earth approach to healing. Her natural affinity for animals—present since childhood—has evolved into a dedicated animal osteopathy practice, providing significant improvements for a wide range of species. 

Now settled in Raglan, Liana provides personalized physical, emotional, and community-centered care. She collaborates closely with medical, veterinary, and allied professionals to help both people and animals return to the activities they love. When she isn’t in the clinic, you’ll likely find her surfing or at the beach with Cleo, her loving hound and therapy dog who reminds her every day of the power of connection.
